Feza International School is one of the educational initiatives established by the Ishik Foundation to support education in Tanzania. The Feza group comprises several schools located in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, and Zanzibar. The first of these, Feza Boys, was founded in 1998 in Mikocheni, Dar es Salaam, and was officially inaugurated by the late Dr. Omar Ali Juma, the then Vice President. Since then, Feza Primary, Feza Girls, and other branches have been successfully launched.
The name “Feza,” meaning universe, reflects the school’s broad vision—not only in academics but also in nurturing students holistically. The schools continuously adapt and expand their teaching approaches to help students achieve academic excellence, instill discipline, foster patriotism, and develop into responsible citizens in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world.
Guided by the motto Be Better Educated, Feza Schools believe that a nation’s strength lies in the quality of its education. The school logo symbolizes this vision, featuring a black downward-curving bow that resembles a fetus in a mother’s womb, signifying growth and potential.
