Kilombero Valley Teak Company (KVTC Limited) was founded in 1992 and stands as one of Africa’s most forward-thinking forest management initiatives, providing significant social, economic, and environmental advantages to a remote region in Tanzania.
The company oversees 28,132 hectares of land across Kilombero and Ulanga Districts in the Morogoro Region, located in southern Tanzania. Central to KVTC’s mission is the cultivation and sustainable harvesting of teak plantations, alongside the conservation and management of more than 20,000 hectares of natural forests, wetlands, and diverse wildlife habitats. KVTC has also developed a fully integrated processing facility for timber and value-added products, creating stable employment and fostering social progress in the region.
