Precision Air Vacancy was founded in 1993 as a private charter airline, initially operating a five-seater Piper Aztec aircraft. The company began by offering air connections for tourists traveling to northern Tanzania’s renowned natural attractions, including Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Zanzibar Island, with Arusha town serving as its primary hub. Today, the airline is based in Dar es Salaam, the commercial capital of Tanzania.
Precision Air has expanded its services to include scheduled passenger flights, charter services, and cargo transportation, all of which are experiencing notable growth. In May 2009, the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) awarded the company a self-handling license, enabling it to begin ground handling operations in November of the same year. The airline is now pursuing a third-party ground handling license from TCAA.
