Children’s Dignity Forum (CDF) is an independent, voluntary, non-profit, and non-partisan civil society organization committed to promoting and protecting children’s rights. Based in Tanzania, CDF concentrates on ensuring the safety, dignity, and empowerment of girls and young women by working to eliminate harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), child marriage, teenage pregnancy, and various forms of exploitation.
As a leading voice in child advocacy, CDF facilitates dialogue and drives advocacy on critical issues affecting children and young women. Our strategy emphasizes educating and empowering young people to claim their rights, enhancing child protection and participation systems, and involving men and boys in advancing gender equality.
CDF partners with government bodies, development agencies, and other like-minded organizations at both national and global levels to further its mission. Additionally, CDF hosts the secretariats for two key national coalitions: the Tanzania Ending Child Marriage Network (TECMN) and the MenEngage Tanzania (MET) Network, through which it amplifies efforts to influence policy and practice for the betterment of children and young women nationwide.
